Complete mended jug. Ovoid body, rounded base. Tall narrow neck, tapering slightly to round horizontal mouth with flaring flattened downsloping rim. Low vertical handle, square in section, from lower neck to shoulder, inserted through wall at lower end. Disconnected multiple zigzag on handle (or sets of oppositely angled lines). Deeply and broadly incised. Rim worn at lower edge. Slip colour variously dark grey, red-brown and orange-brown (approximately half the surface dark grey and half red/orange). Many white inclusions visible on exterior. Fine lines (from application of slip?) visible, particularly in dark grey areas. Slipped on surface of rim. Not slipped on interior of neck. Drawn.
