Rim and neck fragment of a small closed vessel, probably a jar. Short broad somewhat concave-sided neck. Round or oval horizontal mouth with slightly flaring rim, flattened and downsloping toward exterior with a slight indent. Surface smoothed and apparently covered with a thin pinkish-orange slip. Fragment broken cleanly at neck-body join. Rim decorated with (finger?) impressions on outer edge. Inner edge almost pointed. Reddish-brown fabric with thick dark inner core. Neck Ht 30mm. Drawn.
