Notes: 
Mended body, neck, handle and base fragment from a tankard. Upper neck and rim missing. Squat globular, almost biconical body, wide flattened base. Tall broad neck widening upward. High vertical handle, probably from rim. Decorated on neck, body, handle and base. Vertical wavy line on surface and sides of handle. At mid-neck, probably a horizontal framed vertically hatched band (as at mid-body). On lower neck five-row solid chequerboard. At neck-base horizontal wavy line above horizontal line. On upper body five-row solid chequerboard above double framed vertically hatched horizontal band. On lower body four-row solid chequerboard. On base decoration poorly preserved. Probably two sets of three (or more) parallel lines, cross ing at the centre with small plain circles in each interstice. On rear of body and neck framed vertical wavy line. On front of body and neck framed vertical wavy line. Small area of painted decoration fired 2.5YR6/6 at base of handle. Drawn.
