Tomb 789, P279
Ware:
Red Polished III
Shape:
large closed
Notes:
Small vertical handle from a medium-sized closed vessel, possibly an amphora. Rectangular in section. Incised decoration. Two two-line opposed vertical zig-zags, forming a connected diamond pattern. One zig-zag incised before the other, which does not cut through at the crossover points. At the crossover points small incisions appear to have been added to give an impression of continuity. Drawn.
