Inferior view of cranium. The premaxilla contains 4 incisors on each side (in contrast to bandicoots: 5 each side) (cf. Merrilees and Porter 1979:37). Note socket in front of canine to receive point of lower canine. Dental formula: I4, C1, P2, M4
