Notes:
Joining and non-joining rim, neck and body fragments of a large closed vessel. Rim diameter approximately 150mm. Short broad neck widening to everted rim with a flattened, slightly indented downslope to exterior. Yellowish-buff slip, worn and missing in many areas. Thin self slip on interior. Many inclusions, mostly medium to large, including some which are greenish in colour. Broad central core in section (10YR6/4 to 10YR6/6) with narrow bands along inner and outer wall fired 7.5YR6/6. Decorated on the shoulder and at mid-body with narrow horizontal impressed relief bands (W 6 and 7mm). On the upper band the impressions are circular and set close together. On the lower band they are oval, more widely spaced and oppositely angled, giving the impression of a zig-zag. Drawn.
